Hey, I'm Kaya (Yilin) Niu!

I am a product designer crafting systems and experiences in California.  I'm passionate about creating impactful products and focused on creative and inclusive interfaces.

🎨 I began learning drawing and Chinese calligraphy when I was 5 years old. My natural talent in art pushes me to pursue a career in design. In my undergraduate studies in 2017, I discovered my passion for UX Design through a Tech and Design Lab, marking the inception of my journey.

💻 Previously I was at Meta (Instagram), Tesla, and NovaXS as a designer and at TED, AECOM, and Lululemon as a freelance designer. I graduated from the Master of Design at UC Berkeley in 2023. Before that, I studied architecture and minored in business administration in Beijing. At that time, I worked on integrating interaction design, urban space, and health and published several articles at international conferences.

👑 When I was young, I imagined that there would be no disease or war, no wanderers or lonely old people. Now I do pay more attention to the spiritual needs of people and the connection of the disadvantaged to new technology. I hope I can help people feel the beautiful world better.
